Installation

There are generally three ways to install Eclipse:

Manually from Eclipse Downloads
Via a package manager (snapcraft, pacman, etc.)
The Eclipse Installer

On Linux, if manually installing, it is recommended to install to /opt/eclipse . See Linux#Manualsoftwareinstallation.
